HOLY CRAP MY SWORD!

Wow I've always have hated swords with plastic handles and on Friday I have an even bigger reason why I hate them. I was trying an Iai Jutsu technique and my freaking sword's handle exploded shredding my hand but lucky enough my hand is completely fine now, but I swear if any one ever gives me sword with a plastic handle again I’m kicking them in the crotch.

Should I leave the sword as a katana or pirate cutlass?
